The Montessori Learning style is centred around hands-on learning & self-directed activities for children in a collaborative environment.
Our trained and passionate staff are here to nurture your child through one of the most crucial times in their life.
We are dedicated to creating environments which are tailored to facilitate children at varying stages of learning.
Available in over 22,000 schools worldwide, the Montessori approach has a longer track record of success than any other educational method.
All meals are prepared in line with nutritional guidelines, and can be enjoyed in the centre, or at home with the family!
At Precious Cargo, we aim to provide an inclusive environment that promotes a sense of belonging for each child, their family, our staff, and the wider community. All of our classrooms are organised and clean, while offering a stimulating setting that awakens your child’s inner curiosity. The Montessori approach offers much more value than a standard curriculum; your child will be exposed to a wide range of hands-on experiences that incorporate aspects of sustainability, culture, and our environment. Additionally, our strong Community Links program allows children to engage with people of varying ages and backgrounds within the community, teaching them skills such as empathy and consideration. Each centre boasts its own unique ‘link’, with regular incursions and excursions aimed at building strong relationships within our communities.
Precious Cargo has been at the forefront of staff-to-student ratios for a number of years, with 3 of our age groups still having higher staff numbers than is required by government. With a Montessori Mentor in each centre overseeing all of the Montessori Educators, there it utmost accountability when it comes to ensuring all children are well looked after. There are many points of contact available for parents both directly at their chosen centre, and at our administration building.
Our administration staff are also responsible for your account, so you can be confident in knowing your questions or concerns will always be addressed promptly. Precious Cargo also boasts a team of Educational Leaders, who work tirelessly to ensure the programs and experiences applied in our centres are always going to benefit the children practically, physically, mentally and emotionally.

At Precious Cargo Welland, Pre Kindy 1 and 2 children celebrated Holi, the Festival of Colours.
They used squeezing bottles to splash colours on papers and water balloons with coloured water to create colourful artwork.
Holi is the festival that marks the arrival of spring in India and the end of Winter. The day is also signifies the triumph of good over evil, blossoming of love, meeting friends, forgetting and forgiving.
Thank you to our wonderful educators for sharing their culture and art. ... See MoreSee Less

This pre-schoolers in Precious Cargo Collinswood recently made their own sandwich – the Indian Style Vegetarian Sandwich! They used boiled potatoes, green peas, and carrots for the spread. The children mashed the mixed vegetables, added coriander leaves, and put a bit of salt and pepper on the mixture.
Using their hand-eye coordination and muscle control, they prepared their sandwich by spreading butter and mashed vegetable on the toasted bread.
The children were very proud of themselves for being able to prepare their own food. They enjoyed the sandwich so much and are looking forward to doing it again!
This experience have brought a lot of learnings for the children. They had conversations about India where the vegetarian sandwich are commonly served in some parts of the country. They talked about their observations on the different ingredients and the cause and effect of the processes in making the sandwich. They’ve shown their ability to follow instructions and problem-solve whenever they have difficulty mashing or spreading the mixed vegetable. This also encouraged the children to eat healthy food.
Opportunities like this is always part of the Practical Life experience that Precious Cargo love offering to the children. ... See MoreSee Less
