to focus and circle time seems to be one of the highlights of their day.
The Transition group is a preparatory step that gives children a gentle introduction to the routine, structure and social setting of a pre-school environment.
Children learn to develop concentration and participate in ‘circle time’, singing songs, greeting each other and discussing the day’s calendar.
The classroom is richly resourced with educational activities and encourages children to explore, concentrate and socialise as well as developing their self-control, independence and responsibility.
For many children, this may be the first time they have been left in a formal education or care environment. Our teachers are extremely skilled and experienced at helping to sooth both parent’s and children’s anxieties and creating a positive experience for everyone.
Orientations are offered prior to commencement and children are kept in the transition group until they are ready to move up to pre-school.
